This class provides a happy introduction to the whimsical world of Van Gogh. Inspired by his masterpiece 'Sunflowers,' we get to try to recreate his creative madness with glue, salt and watercolors. Using a visual guide (a copy of his piece) we will start with simple pencil lines followed by layers of liquid white glue, white table salt and any watercolors you have laying around. The piece should be created on hard board, canvas, or matte board~ something that can absorb colors but not be soaked like traditional art paper, watercolor paper and mixed media paper. This is a one class project. Extra time will be at home for dry time. It should take about 24 hours until completely dry. Once dry, gently tap excess salt to expose your amazing work!

A bottle of white glue A container of white Table Salt Watercolors Pencil Paint brush or dropper Matte board, hard board or canvas, heavy paper, and something to collect disgarded salt, like a bowl.🥣
