Description

Class Experience

In this beginning Spanish course, students will learn to use basic sentences and vocabulary in Spanish. The course consists of 6 classes; each class is one hour, split into two parts (with a game in the middle). The goal of this course is to have your child speaking Spanish as much as possible in a practical context. We will use visuals (via props and slides), gestures and games to remember what we've learned.

In Spanish, students will be able to (using complete sentences): 
- introduce themselves and say their age
- count from 1-15
- identify the letters Aa-Zz
- say how themselves and others feel
- identify classroom objects and their colors
- say how many there are of something
- identify the members of the family 
- say what they like to do

I am a teacher by trade. I lived and worked (in a Spanish-speaking environment) in El Salvador, Central America for over seven years. I am excited to share my love of the Spanish language with your child!

A homework sheet will be provided after each class for extra practice.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
