This lesson will cover the fundamentals of writing a love story (or not so love story) A sympathetic heroine. The heroine is the key to any romance. ... A strong, irresistible hero. Your heroine and your reader must both fall in love with the hero. ... Emotional tension. This is the heart of every romance. ... A believable plot. ... A happy-ever-after ending (or not!) Basic elements of plot and structure will be included along with example texts. Students will learn, write, share (if comfortable) and be offered feedback. Teacher will introduce the love story format, be available for questions and try her own hand at writing. I am pretty hands off, unless students want me to engage. Students are allowed to find and develop their creative writing skills with as little or as much help as they desire.
