US Grade 1 - 4
I will teach young artists how to identify shapes and lines in Super Mario Bros character Lakitu (as a BEE for a fun play on words!), and create a special Valentines Day drawing by following along, as I guide the process step-by-step. Students may use a marker or pencil to follow me as I demonstrate each line of the picture. After drawing, we will color them in and add our own unique details! Students can use any coloring utensil they prefer! Crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, pastels, the sky is the limit! In the end, each learner will have a super drawing to give to their Valentine or to have as a keepsake.

Hello, I'm Ms. Jes!
In my classes, kids unleash their inner artist using favorite characters and games that I’m just as passionate about as they are. We explore spontaneous creativity and embracing “mistakes”. Let’s start drawing outside the box!
I am most passionate about teaching art and learning in unique ways. My approach to teaching infuses encouragement and optimism while having fun and connecting with a new generation over shared interests. Every child is special and celebrated for being who they are! No matter the class, I believe in positively approaching learning and finding joy in it.
• Outside of Outschool, I founded a nonprofit youth performing arts academy in 2015.
• I live in the beautiful Midwest of the USA with my husband and two children.
• If you need financial assistance, please don't hesitate to message me, and I will do my best to offer a reduced rate whenever possible.
