Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi my name is Chef Zee and I am a pastry chef culinary instructor. I teach cooking classes to children and adults within the school system and outside of the school system. I have a bachelors of science in Human Behaviors. After I finished college I settle down and had children of my own. I have two boys, who enjoy eating as much as they love to cook. I’ve been said to be really goofy and silly as a mom and as a teacher. I try to keep up with the latest trends and dances among today’s children to better connect with them. I totally love what I do and I love children.
It become evident to me that my strength and talents are working with children and cake decorating. I’ve been a pastry chef for over seven years. I soon started my own online pastry business. Shortly after I began working with children to teach them what I had learned during my Journey. I worked with children in the city at community centers and soon graduated on to teaching culinary classes from elementary to middle school and into high school. I’ve taught 4H classes in the areas of Culinary Arts, and Food Chemistry. I ran a 4H STEAM camp as executive director where our program focused on teaching children STEAM through agriculture. I Am now a public school teacher . I Teach Family & Consumer Science in the middle school. I have also taught history and English on the high school Level and STEAM (Science technology engineering, art math) In grades K-5th.
I love inspiring children to reach their potential through cooking. It’s amazing to see the looks on their faces when they use their hands to create something that is amazing and edible. With my classes I bring a farm to table environment to teaching. I teach that there are healthier aspect of every dish so that we still foster in healthy options for our little children.
