Class Experience

In this one time class, students will learn how to wish someone Happy Valentine's Day in French! Students will read, speak, and write in French. Students will also learn how Valentine's Day is celebrated in France. The teacher will send the vocabulary list prior to the class meeting and students may use it as a guide to write a card (or cards) in French! This is a great class for beginners or those at the start of their French language journey. I look forward to meeting your learner (or seeing them again) and speaking French together!

I am a licensed French teacher grades preK-12 and I would love to meet your student in my class! I have over 10 years teaching experience in-person and over 3 years teaching experience online with students ages 4-14. See you soon!

I have lived for a year in Aix-en-Provence, France where I taught ESL in a private school. I have also traveled to Quebec, Canada 4 times with my middle school students. In the classroom for over 10 years, I have been required to teach about over 20 francophone countries as a requirement of the Virginia Standards of Learning for French. In addition, my classes always follow the National Foreign Language Association’s 5 C’s of language learning, which includes culture. In this course, students will learn about 10 different francophone countries. They will learn where they are on a map, why they speak French, and how French in used in their country.
