Be creative! Be unique! Be a Unicorn in this magical dance class! Your snazzy dancer will learn energetic jazz dance technique, jazz dance terminology, learn a dance combination and create a valentine unicorn craft! Welcome to Valentine Unicorn Dance Class and Craft Time! I can't wait to dance together! This class will begin with talking about what we love about unicorns! We will then move into a warm up and stretch. Next will be across the floor and center floor where we will learn jazz...
Students will learn basic jazz dance terminology and movement while dancing to fun and familiar songs. We will practice balance, flexibility, and coordination skills. Most of all we will have FUN!
2 files available upon enrollmentOur Valentine Unicorn Craft will need: a paper plate 1 marker - preferably black a good glue stick scissors construction paper of any color Optional supplies valentine stickers Optional templates are provided in the classroom for your use. If your learner struggles with freely cutting shapes, please use these templates to help provide support for your young learner during craft time or by precutting the pieces ahead of class.
Please create a space that is open and large enough for your dancer to move, dance, jump and glide without bumping into things. Learners should wear comfortable clothing that they can easily move in. Unicorn attire is encourage, but not required. Learners should either wear jazz shoes, ballet shoes or have bare feet. Please no socks, as dancers can easily slip while wearing them. After our welcome question, we will begin by sitting on the floor to stretch, and then move to standing for the remainder of the class. Please help your learner to understand how to mute and unmute themselves, as there will be times in class that I ask the learners to share. Please be aware that this craft uses scissors.
