In this one-time class, learners will focus on rhythm with a Valentine's theme. Learners will arrange, read, and identify rhythms with sixteenth notes, eighth notes, quarter notes and quarter rests. Learners will need scissors, glue/tape, blank paper, optional coloring supplies and the class handout that will be posted to the classroom closer to the class date. Learners may use a percussion instrument to play rhythms during class.
Learners will be informally assessed on their ability to match words with traditional rhythms.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
