Beginner - Advanced Level
In this one time class, students will be learning to draw cute lovey birds on watercolor paper. Then we will use watercolor painting techniques to create an adorable and cheerful painting. Blending, wet and dry brush techniques will be taught in watercolor. Learners will be free to choose colors and designs for their birds, vines and background! Art freedom and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example along with the supplies needed to create it. Students will be encouraged to add their creative personal touches to their work. I will encourage students to upload their finished work to the classroom after it dries to share with me and their art friends.
Learning Goals
Learners will be practicing directed drawing, drawing from imagination and watercolor painting techniques.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
We will be using a cup of water with our watercolor paints. Please make sure all electronics are protected from water spills.
Use only non-toxic, child-safe watercolor paints.
Supply List
Watercolor paint set. Paint brushes. Cup of water. White watercolor paper. Copy paper will not be thick enough to hold up to the water. Pencil and eraser. Paper towel.
