It is Valentine's Day! Everyone is so excited and having fun! Then something strange happened! As you come back from lunch you can't find your teacher! You see a frog sitting on your teachers desk! Oh no! She caught the love bug and it is very contagious! A classmate near your teacher just "POPPED!" turned into a frog as well! Soon everyone will catch the love bug! You need to work as a class to find a cure before everyone is a frog forever! This is a great digital escape room to get you into the holiday spirit, have fun working together as a team, solve math problems together as well as have fun! This class is very interactive and I encourage everyone to participate. My classroom is a safe place for students to try their best, make mistakes and challenge themselves. All while having a good experience with a digital escape room. Here are the math skills students will encounter throughout the escape room. -adding and subtracting 3 digits by 3 digits and 2 digits by 2 digits -adding fractions with same denominator -mixed fractions -working with a recipe ( students need to add ingredients in a recipe by 7. Answer is written as an improper fraction as well proper. Both are correct depending on where your students are. -adding fraction to a whole number -multiplication of 1 digit by 1 digit -division of 2 digit by 1 digit -word problems -multi step word problem -wonderful pictures -and a chance to save your classmates! Utah Teaching Certificate in Special Education
Hello! My name is Natalie! I am a former Special Education Resource Teacher of 4 years. I have taught grades K-6 reading, writing and math small groups. I taught students with learning disabilities for 30 to 45 minutes a day, then they would go back to their homeroom class.
I love teaching students new strategies to solve problems. Everyone learns differently and everyone can absolutely learn and succeed. I love seeing my students finally understand math watch their confidence grow and have a blast learning! I love helping students learn to use the different tools in their tool box to solve a math problem. There are multiple ways a problem can be solved. I love teaching different strategies because one will work for students over the other.
Math can be viewed as hard, boring and daunting. It is my goal to make math fun, have students feel successful and tackle a math problem with confidence!
