Class Experience

During this course students will be provided with basic information about the difference between viruses and bacteria. They will also be introduced to the basics of the immune system. Students will be shown how vaccines were developed and how they have evolved over time. They will be shown how vaccines have been used to achieve herd immunity and eradicate diseases. We will discuss the immune response and why vaccines can make you feel ill sometimes and how that shows they are working. This...

Students will learn how vaccines work, why they are important, and why they are safe.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
