Using Super Mario to Understand Math (Multiplication Part 1)

During this class we will channel your students' enthusiasm for Super Mario for learning math! We will use math puzzles, and games to give students an opportunity to think critically and deeply about mathematics, develop problem-solving strategies, and work through math problems. During this class, we will practice multiplication facts 0, 1, 2, 5, 10 & 11. Your student should be able to skip-count, have a good handle on addition facts. With a master's degree in Special Education and experience planning and implementing learning interventions, and tutoring I understand the need for drill and practicing simple math facts. In addition, I love playing Super Mario games. This will help me be able to connect with your students during this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
