Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
In this class, I will give the learners an example of identifying a new unknown word by the context it is written in.

I will talk about thinking of words we already know that are similar eg circle and circular that can also give us clues about the meaning of a new word.

Then I will put a set list of middle school vocabulary words into sentences and ask the learners to work out the meaning of the vocabulary word.

I will use a set list of vocabulary for this class.

The lesson will be loose with me as the subject specialist giving the information and then asking the learners to use the information I have given to develop new skills.

The learners can ask me questions at any time, and they can interact with each other.

No prior knowledge is required, and all learners are welcome.
