Class Experience
Each week this course will dive into the fine art of voice acting. Here we will discover the different parts of the voice and how each can be used to execute a new sound and new voice! From funny, to serious, to a tutorial robot, each students will have the chance to read and create characters! Creating is only half of the class. It is just as important to know how to use your instrument. We will go over vocal exercises and warm ups before we begin the readings. Different exercises can be...
The student should leave each class with a vocal warm up appropriate for the part of the voice being used in the reading. They will also leave with material to read. With this material they will also have the knowledge of how to create a voice acting character.
I graduated from Rollins college with a degree in liberal arts. There I majored in music and theater with a concentration in performing. Here I learned vocal anatomy, vocal use and voice acting techniques. Since graduating I have collected eight years of teaching experience. This has ranged from individual lessons to large classes. The subjects I have covered include music theory acting and singing performance divisive theater instrument techniques and so much more.
No external preparation is prepared between weeks, but I do encourage going over vocal exercises from previous weeks.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
