Students should be able to carry basic conversations in Mandarin Chinese before taking this class, including being able to greet someone and get to know them briefly, ask about family and hobbies etc. in Mandarin Chinese. Class structure includes question/answer games and activities such as matching games along with conversation exchange practice between teacher/student and student/student. Videos will be provided in between classes to help with vocabulary and grammar practice. Vocabulary and grammar from previous classes will be used. Topics covered include: Week 1: Days of the week Week 2: Daily activities (eat, sleep, have class, chat, go, come) Week 3: Time of day (early morning, morning, afternoon, night) and asking, "When?" Week 4: Combine everything learned Writing sheets will be provided for those who wish to participate in writing select vocabulary words and sentences.

Youtube videos will be provided for practice in between classes. Students are not required to create and or use an account to access these videos.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
