They will come to understand and analyze the various factors that contributed to the boom economy and evaluate whether the 1929 Wall Street crash was the sole cause of the Great Depression or what, if any, factors originated for it in the 1920s. Students will improve their understanding of the 1920s as an iconic decade of US history. Those taking the US AP test or any GCSE or A-level US history exam will be able to review subject matter for their exams as well.
I have a PhD in Medieval Studies that focused on history and archaeology. While in England I taught history for students aged 11-18. This included A-level history work (years 16-18) that often included teaching modules on US history of the 20th century. I also tutored students from a wide range of backgrounds in history, English, and politics for 12 years.
I will provide a PDF for the stockmarket game. Students can use unlined paper instead if they wish. Please bring lined paper and pen for notes.
No Parental Guidance needed.
