U.S. Strategy With Nuclear Weapons During the Cold War

The learning goals for this six-week course will be to teach the student about the high-altitude nuclear testing, Operation Castle Bravo, the Ohio class submarine, tactical nuclear weapons, the Titan II intercontinental nuclear missile, and the Minuteman III missile. There will be attached note taking documents with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information in this course. There are also short videos about the material to help learn about Cold War nuclear weapons. The desire of the teacher is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn the material and answer questions. There will be no assigned homework in this class and the teaching style will be lecture via power point material with a few questions asked of the students.
