This a six-week course that delves into how the U.S. tested and employed strategic nuclear arms for defensive actions during the Cold War.

The learning goals for this six-week course will be to teach the student about the high-altitude nuclear testing, Operation Castle Bravo, the Ohio class submarine, tactical nuclear weapons, the Titan II intercontinental nuclear missile, and the Minuteman III missile. There will be attached note taking documents with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information in this course. The students will learn about the technical specifications, testing, and the history of strategic and tactical level nuclear weapons in the U.S. inventory during the Cold War.
The teacher has over 20 years in the Air Force as an officer and have experience as a docent for the Titan II missile museum.
