In this 6-week class, students will get a basic, elementary-level understanding of the US government including the branches of government, presidents, famous buildings and documents, and federal holidays.

Class experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Students will learn the basics of how their government is run, why voting is important, and what the president does. Students will also learn why they have off school for certain holidays.
I have a degree in Elementary Education which required me to take a few courses on how to teach elementary level history. I also was an AP history student in high school as well as taking several history classes in college. I live near Gettysburg, PA, so American history has been a part of my life since I was a child. My father is a battlefield guide and Civil War expert. I enjoy learning about and teaching history, only tutoring topics of which I feel the most comfortable with.
Homework Offered
Handouts, crafts, book reports, final project, interactive google slides.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Kahoot!, handouts, and interactive google slides.
Grades Offered
Supplies for crafts, printable handouts.
