I am retired public school Teacher. I was a Travel Agent. I was an Airline Station Manager. I was a Supervisor of an Airline Reservation Center. I have traveled to 45/50 States, been to Aruba and Kenya plus many places in-between. The world is an awesome place if you know where to find states and cities within the states. I had students tell me that St Louis was a state or that California was located where Texas was on a map. They just didn't have a clue where states where located or even what country they were in!!! The problem is people don't know how to get anywhere because they don't know where cities and states are located. Why? Geography has been thrown out the door because it was boring! I get that! It doesn't have to be that way. Geography is fun when taught the right way and thats my way ---Geography: Trains Planes and Automobiles. We explore the states by learning about the cities, the people within the cities, the attractions, where to stay, how to get there etc. Its as if we are planning a vacation each time we create a Travel Brochure or a 14 day trip with a detailed itinerary . It's time to take Geography away from boring to ROAD TRIP! Best of all, it's a functional skill that our children can use and use again throughout their lifetime. So are you ready for your son or daughter to Board the Geography: Trains Planes and Automobile series of Geography and History classes? I would love to have your son or daughter in one of my classes.
