US Grade 9 - 12
This course is intended for those that want to understand US or American Civics and History. This class will cover much more than what they would receive in a standard semester course if you stick with us. We will meet twice a week and go over different parts of civics each week. *Each week will stand on its own and your learner can drop in and out as needed*. The format of each week will follow a similar format. The first meeting will be packet / worksheet and information heavy and the second meeting of the week will be review and will include a game or activity to check comprehension. For some weeks we may cover 2 topics in the same week if information, questions, etc are going quickly. *Schedule may change due to how quickly/slowly a class is going and topics will be updated for the coming months to reflect that. Week of Oct 23 Day 1: Federalist and Anti-Federalists Day 2: The Constitutional Convention Week of Oct 30 Day 1: Early Rebellions Part 1 Day 2: Early Rebellions Part 2 Week of Nov 6 Day 1: Colonial Beginnings Part 1 Day 2: Colonial Beginnings Part 2 Week of Nov 13 Day 1: Separate and Sovereign Day 2: Got Grievances Week of Nov 20 Day 1: Trying Self Government Part 1 Day 2: Trying Self Government Part 2 Week of Nov 27 Day 1: Major Clash?
