NOTE: If this is your first lesson with me, please join the class 1-2 minutes before the class start time to allow for basic warm-up and introduction with the teacher. The class will begin with singing an Urdu rhyme together every week. Learners will sing the rhyme together, and learn new words and phrases from the rhyme each day. Each month is a different rhyme. Each week of the month, kids build vocabulary, practice Urdu words, and implement them during a game or an activity played in the second half of the class. Some examples of these activities are Show & Tell, Kahoot, Scavenger Hunt, Simon Says, etc. Resources are provided, if any, for the weekly activities. The goal is to build basic conversation skills and gain comfort and confidence to speak Urdu through games and activities while building vocabulary and practicing the new words in some form. This course runs for a full year to allow for consistent Urdu practice to build comfort and confidence in speaking Urdu. The class is a fast-paced, high energy class. Each learner is expected to join the class timely to respect everyone's time. Learners are expected to take class from a quiet background. Since this is a highly interactive class, each learner will be unmuted to ensure maximum interaction with the teacher and other learners. This class is learner-driven so learners are welcome to take this class for better retention, practice, and engagement.
