In this single-session class learners will be exposed to Urdu to see if it's something they'd like to continue learning. The class is set up for heritage learners who have some background in Urdu (such as hearing it in the household). First, learners will build their vocabulary in order to hold a short conversation with partners. These conversations could be greetings, likes and dislikes, emotions, shopping, food, or describing their rooms. Then, learners will experiment with the alphabet by recognizing letters. Learners will be able to write their names in Urdu.
