Class Experience

This is a beginner course for those who understand little to no Urdu. It's designed to build comfort and passion with speaking Urdu.

This course follows a gamified learning style for the learners. The games and activities in each class is designed to keep the learners engaged and the curriculum is carefully designed for the kids to stay engaging, interacted, and passionate towards learning & speaking Urdu.

During this course, learners are familiarized with, learn, and practice everyday topics while building a foundation of basic Urdu grammar (relevant to conversational Urdu).

Everyday topics that familiarize learners with usual settings are covered during the course which includes greetings, introductions, weather, counting, verbs, colors, and much more. Along with this, a basic understanding of grammar is covered throughout the course which includes differentiating between past and present tense, using formal and informal language in various settings, and understanding the differences in gendered nouns and verbs.

The class size is small so that the learners participate in class with the teacher and their class fellows. Resources for each week are provided to review and practice weekly topics. This course also has weekly assignments which are designed carefully so that the learners could gain maximum benefit from the course.

My teaching style is warm, friendly, and interactive. Each learner is allowed time and space to participate during the lesson through games and engaging activities.

Why choose this course?

1. Meeting with the teacher in a friendly, inclusive, and interactive online environment. My classes thrive on this philosophy!
2. Weekly handouts are provided to review outside class. While taking notes during class is helpful, I’ve done that work for you! All you’ve to do is: come to the class with a fresh mind and a smile to start learning Urdu.
3. Conversational home assignments are given every week. This lets the learners to continue practicing outside class and receive feedback.
4. Learning goals are clearly defined for each week, and shared at the beginning of each class. This helps in the learners being present to the content coming next.
5. Kahoot Quizzes in the last 5-7 minutes of each class, starting from day 2. These gamified quizzes are casual-style and allow learners to practice what they’ve learned in a friendly game style and for the teacher to assess the learning progress. Instructions to join Kahoot using a Game PIN (shared in class) are given during the class on Day 2.

Classroom size is kept small to ensure that each learner actively participates in conversations and activities.

A certificate of completion is awarded (upon request) to the learner to recognize efforts upon successfully finishing the course.
After completing this course, you could book a slot to continue learning Urdu in a private class setting.

Feel free to write to me for questions or clarifications regarding the course.
