Students will work on being a good listener to their peers and the teacher, improving fine motor skills through a craft, developing language and vocabulary through a song, learn about voting, learn the math concept of symmetry, and practice listening comprehension with our story.Class Experience
We will learn a secular Christmas song such as Rocking Around the Christmas Tree or Frosty the Snowman which we will sing a few times throughout the class to help with memory. We will vote on a Christmas story, from the list below, for the teacher to read. Then the teacher will ask comprehension questions to ensure understanding. We will take turns talking and sharing our thoughts about the story. We will also work on a simple craft making a Christmas tree using symmetry. This helps the children develop fine motor skills as well as learning to follow directions.
