In this one time workshop, learners take an old t-shirt and re-purpose it into a bag.
Class experience
US Grade 8 - 11
In this class, learners will create a bag out of an old t-shirt (no sewing required). Upcycling old items that might have otherwise been thrown away is a great way to; express creativity, save money and help our earth! During our class I will be demonstrating each step and helping learners along the way. I will be demonstrating steps with a camera that shots my workspace so learners can see my point of view of the project. I will also switch back to focusing the camera onto myself to engage...
An old T-shirt, any size will work, the larger the t-shirt, the larger the bag. (please make sure you and your learner are both fine with the selected t-shirt being cut up!) Scissors (suitable for fabric) Ruler or measuring tape Chalk or a pencil
