In this one-time course, students who have never played in third (3rd) position or who are still new to it, will have a chance to learn some tips and exercises for shifting into and using 3rd position.

Description

Class Experience

This one-time course is for students who have never played in third (3rd) position on the violin/viola, or those who have just begun to learn it.
Basic skills in first (1st) position are necessary before taking this class, suggested to have ~12 months or more playing experience and have good posture/position habits.

We will cover some basic tips and learning exercises ranging from basic to more challenging. Students will have a chance to play individually and have their work checked by the...

Continued practice after the class is recommended.

Your own violin/viola (tuned before class, please) and bow, accessories such as music stand and rosin, a pencil and piece of paper

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
