Class Experience

In this 4-day camp, teens are introduced to less common art mediums and practices, and learners are challenged to create a different type of "unusual" artwork each day. This class also introduces teens to the practice of art critique and careful observation of the work of professional illustrators and artists. 

The first class begins with examples of art using non-typical materials or unusual techniques. We discuss how the artist created it, and what makes the pieces interesting. Students...

Students will use objects from around the home and outdoors, and may need to use paper, paint, tape, glue, scissors. A tripod or stand to take photos and videos is useful, but not required.

4 hours per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
