US Grade 6
This novel-based 6th grade reading curriculum covers important topics and skills including analyzing plot, interpreting figurative language, describing characters, defining vocabylary, recognizing symbolism, and determining theme through reading and writing activities. Lesson assignments include a video, guided notes and a Blooket for students to complete. Each lesson is designed to correlate with a specific grade-level novel, and this concept will be assessed at the end of each book. Some novels have accompanying informational passages to supply readers with additional background information. Each novel includes: chapter breakdowns, background videos, reading comprehension questions, vocabulary, review lesson videos and Blooket quizzes. At the end of each novel, there is an activity that can be submitted for teacher feedback. There is also a final project at the end of the course. Practice identifying plot elements by completing a graphic organizer.
