Unlocking Hebrew Literacy: Aleph Champ
Class experience
In this bi-weekly course, students will learn how to read and write elementary Hebrew following the Aleph Champ curriculum. In addition, we will practice basic greeting and classroom expressions in Hebrew every time, thus giving students the opportunity to absorb commonly-used terms in the target language. I am a linguist, and Semitic languages, ancient and modern, are one of my areas of specialization. I first studied Modern Israeli Hebrew as an undergraduate student in 2003, and I have continued to read, research, and work in the language in since then.
Homework Offered
Every class period will have short practice sheets to complete at home to reinforce the formation and pronunciation of the letters and vocabulary discussed.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Files will be posted beforehand for handouts intended for in-class usage, thus giving parents sufficient time to print out a copy in advance. A pencil is also required. Practice handouts for homework will also be posted for parents to print out for their child.
