Class Experience
Welcome witches and wizards! Are you ready to embark on a magical journey? In this book club, we will read the third book in the magical Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban! Whether this is your first time reading the book or you're already a huge fan of the series, this book club will be filled with magic for everyone! Each week, we will engage in fun, thought-provoking discussions. You will love this book and the opportunity to discuss it with other young witches...
Students will read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Students will practice reading comprehension skills in response to weekly discussion questions. Students will practice their speaking and listening skills by engaging in class discussions.
I am a certified elementary teacher with most of my experience in the upper elementary grades. I have taught Harry Potter to my classes for the past 9 years and I have also run after school Harry Potter clubs for the past 5 years. Students in other grades are request to be in my class so they can read Harry Potter and it always the most exciting time of year for my students!
Students will read 3-4 assigned chapters each week.
Students need to have their own copy of the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
