This is a section that is meant for tutoring! I can help with any topic in United States history based on needs. Nothing is off limits! I am an expert in all United States history and can work with students on any time period. Some time periods that I love to teach about are the Civil War, Reconstruction, the establishment of the 13 colonies, and the establishment of the United States Government! This one on one tutoring class will be structured based on needs. Each day your student will come in and we will determine what topics they need further help with. We will work through them together using sources that I have and background knowledge. We will use technology integration to learn more about these topics. My teaching style is student centered. I work to provide for the students. I allow the students to shine as I provide activities. I will use slides, videos, discussion, and different online tools to provide the new information to your student. This is a one on one tutoring, so the student will have my undivided attention for an entire hour.

Student will advance their understanding on topics that they are struggling with in United States history through class discussion, slides, primary sources, secondary sources, and other activities.

Parental Guidance
The only topics we will be discussing are those that your student asks for help in! There should be nothing that would be upsetting or scary for a learner because this will not be the first time discussing these topics. Some topics in history are difficult to learn about.

I have been a history teacher for 4 years now. I have taught United States History to 8th grade for two of those years. I also taught Government to a 10th grade class and student government at the middle school age level. I have a history degree from the University of Salisbury. I also have a secondary education degree from the University of Salisbury meaning I am certified to work with students from 7th-12th grade! I have been working in field with Children for 10+ years!
