This three-lecture unit study of American History is designed as a follow-up to BIG PICTURE: AMERICAN HISTORY IN ONE LESSON. It consists of a THREE-DAY course, covering the following topics: DAY 1: The Colonial Period and the American Revolution -The Colonial Background to today's United States -The revolutionary origins of present-day American culture DAY 2: Independent America -The Founding Fathers as Presidents -The Growth and Decline of the Union -The Civil War DAY 3: Civil Rights and World Police -The Evolution of Civil Rights from Reconstruction to Today -America as World Police Power in Modern Times Students who have previously taken "Advanced American History in One Lesson" will be in a stronger position than others to take this additional unit study, but it is *not* a pre-requisite. Clients who register for this program even though they have not had a chance to use BIG PICTURE: American History in One Lesson will receive a complimentary recording of that program to help their students prepare.
