Mabuhay! This Tagalog class is designed for students who prefer NOT to attend LIVE classes. This is perfect for students who may be shy, live in a different time zone or simply want to learn at their own pace. Whatever your reasons are, you are welcome to enroll in this Tagalog class. ***Please note that I also offer ongoing LIVE classes. Let's Learn Tagalog: Lessons 1-6 are divided into chunks to make the objectives easier to achieve. Students will learn new vocabulary, use the vocabulary in sentences, and practice these in different ways through supplementary activities. In each lesson, we will cover a different theme/topic. A video will be posted and handouts/worksheets will be uploaded as well. Students can watch the video anytime and do the activities to make the most out of the course. Videos and activities are available for students to utilize anytime for improved learning. Students are NOT required to submit any homework (e.g., post a video of themselves speaking in Tagalog, interviewing a family member, writing, answering worksheets, doing a quiz, playing a game, singing a song, etc). These are just supplemental/suggested activities for students for extra learning. Questions? Suggestions? Send me a message. I look forward to learning Tagalog with you. - Helen

Teacher expertise and credentials
I was born and raised in the Philippines; and speak four major Filipino languages/dialects. It excites me to see families giving their children the gift of connecting to their cultural roots through language. With this in mind, I have published some Tagalog books on Amazon that I believe are helpful for families learning Tagalog at home.
Before moving to the US, I was a licensed school teacher in the Philippines and taught Filipino in the classroom. I understand the challenges of learning a new language and strive to be patient and kind to my students. I work to create a fun and engaging learning environment for them and measure my success by my students' progress.
