I'm not just a tutor. I'm a fun tutor! Who likes boring classes anyways? I know you don't!

Hi, this is Coach Kristeen. I've been coaching students how to speak Tagalog for many years. My approach to teaching Tagalog is not conventional like how natives learn to speak because it is natural for us. But not for non-native speakers. So I teach my students the fundamentals of the language - how to express something using different patterns, verb aspects, how to form verbs, and then how natives speak during the daily conversation. Once they have learned all these, they can even speak better than natives because they'll know what other natives don't know, and they will learn the cultural background they'll understand why Filipinos speak like they do.

I have been teaching for more than 10 years to children, as young as 5 years old to adults. I have students from Asia, Europe, Middle East, and America. I used to work in corporate as an Administrative Specialist, and as an HR while I did tutoring part-time. But teaching has always been my passion, so since 2017, I've decided to teach full-time. I use my own book "Speak Taglish" when teaching my students. My book is an attractive and well-structured Tagalog language book that helps beginners to advanced level students learn to speak the language. I always believe that the more knowledge you acquire, the more doors of opportunities open up for you.

By the way, when I don't teach I vlog a lot. And I play fetch with my boy "Whiskey" - my cute little Westie. He's so adorable! You should meet him!

What about you? What do you like to do during your free time? I would love to hear all about it when we meet in class! See you soon!
