In this one time session, students will listen to a magical unicorn story for Halloween, do a setting comprehension skill color activity and then create a special unicorn treat to eat and share with family. (no bake).

1. Teacher will read the story "Tippy and Misty the Unicorn" Students will be engaged in a picture walk to help learners tell a story from pictures. Students will make predictions about what the story will be about using the prompt: "I predict that __________________." Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents will need to gather/buy supplies to make the unicorn treat. Please have the tray of supplies ready before class!
