In this engaging unicorn class, learners will hear the magical and engaging story Unicorn Day! The most important rule of Unicorn Day is to have fun, fun, fun! The unicorns are celebrating their favorite day of the year, complete with rainbows, cupcakes, butterflies, and all sorts of joyful things. But when it's revealed there's an impostor in their midst, the party comes to a screeching halt... Will the unicorns welcome all and continue their fun in all its glittery glory? After reading, I will guide students to make their own magical unicorns! Students will have time to share anything magical or unicorn related when finished! Learners are also welcome to bring or wear anything unicorn-related to share! Depending on time, we may read another unicorn story. ••Parents or students may want to pre-cut the unicorn pattern from something sturdy like a paper plate or poster board before class. or you can print out the pattern and use it as is. However, using a paper plate or poster board that is more sturdy is helpful when gluing materials to it. Materials needed: unicorn and horn template provided by the teacher in the classroom watercolors or markers yarn or tissue paper for mane ( one color or several different colors) paper plate OR poster board to trace and cut unicorn pattern and horn (recommended) scissors Glue optional: glitter, stickers, gems

Teacher expertise and credentials
Georgia Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
As a licensed teacher specializing in Reading, I have had the opportunity to support and engage students with diverse learning needs. My experience has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of different instructional strategies to ensure that all students have the skills necessary for academic success. I am passionate about creating a positive classroom environment that is both supportive and engaging, where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and participating in discussions. With my expertise in Reading instruction, I strive to help each student develop a lifelong love for reading while achieving academic goals.
My passion is literature. I believe stories make concepts more palpable to children. Stories can teach readers valuable lessons, make them laugh, and see things from a different perspective, or take them somewhere new!
When I have time, I like to travel, experience different cultures, and learn the history of people and places. I am also an animal lover! I have two dogs, have worked with animal rescues, and fostered cats and dogs for years.
If you are interested in a class and don't see a time that meets your needs, please send me with your time request. I look forward to meeting your learner in class!
