In this one time class, students will utilize the magical creature, the UNICORN, to learn about the common prefixes uni-, bi-, and tri-. Students will create their own multi-corn creatures while learning about different prefixes that are common in the English language. There will also be an short introduction to other common prefixes that young students may come across. A booklet will be shared and will needed to be printed for all students PRIOR to class to successfully complete this fun word study class.

I love helping students develop a love of writing, delve into their curiosity of the world around them through science, and explore the magic of beloved fantasy worlds like Disney and Harry Potter. I have my advanced teaching license for Elementary Education as well as English as a Second Language. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013. I then received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the world renowned Johns Hopkins University in 2015 I live outside of Baltimore, Maryland with my husband and little kitten.
