Class Experience

Students will problem solve strategies to catch a unicorn.

Students will identify different ways to represent numbers.

Students will use phonetic knowledge to spell "unicorn" words.
I will provide "Unicorn Printables" and "How to Catch a Unicorn" documents that includes complementary resources for the sensory bins.

Students will need a unicorn sensory bin for this class. It may include the following items: small container (11 x 6.6 x 2.7 inches), brightly dyed rice (two cups), handful of colorful pom poms, handful of paper stars, unicorns (two to three), and a wand. Please feel free to include other items of your choice! Learners will also have the opportunity to purchase a pre-assembled sensory bin upon registration.

Students will also need pencils and crayons/colored pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will refer to Adam Wallace's book, "How to Catch a Unicorn." Students are not required to purchase this text since it will be read aloud during the class.
