At the beginning of class, we will do some introductions to get to know each other a little bit before we start the lesson. Then, learners will create artwork of an elephant. Not only will they make their own artwork, but learners will also be introduced some paper collage technique such as cutting symmetrical shapes and overlapping. This lesson will be taught in a directed drawing style to aid those who are not confident in their skills yet. However, after the learners have completed the steps demonstrated, the students will be encouraged to make their art unique and personal to them.

Teacher expertise and credentials
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!
