Ready to fall in love with painting? Ms. Muse's paint - a - long classes are fun for any age. No painting experience is necessary.......Really! Just paint - a - long and by the end of class time, you will have created a masterpiece! CLASS Please have paint colors placed out on your plate prior to class. Students will follow along step by step, as I paint every detail right in front of them. I will demonstrate how the paint colors work together and layer these to create beautiful paintings with depth. Children will learn painting terminology and some easy to remember techniques that they can use in their own artwork. If they choose, students can always share their masterpiece at the end of the class. This is never forced. It's really exciting to see how proud they are of their work. UNICORN ACRYLIC PAINT COLORS *Any brand of acrylic paints or acrylic craft paints are acceptable. However, craft acrylics will dry quickly and are very helpful for children learning. DARK OR BRIGHT PINK PURPLE BLUE WHITE YELLOW ORANGE GREEN • 11x14 surface such as Canvas /canvas panel /canvas paper /watercolor paper/thick multi- media paper *Please note, the structure/ timing of the class is geared toward SPECIFICALLY 11x14 or smaller . This manageable size allows for ample time to work on each step, and for all levels of painters to enjoy success. SHORT HANDLED brushes : (flexible, synthetic bristles please) • 3/4 “ or 1 " Flat wash brush • Small flat /angled brush •Medium sized ROUND brush ( size 8 ) with a point • Small Detail brush with a nice point. • 2 Bowls of water •OLD hand towel to keep with your painting kit And 4 paper towels •2 Paper plates ( one for paints and one for mixing. ) Poster board or paper down to protect surfaces Paint smock / paint clothes and long hair tied back Optional : Headphones 3 different sized Brushes : ( We use the same brushes for all of our painting classes.) 1 " Flat brush Medium ROUND brush ( size 8 or size 10 ) Small Detail ROUND brush ( size 3 or 4) 2 Bowls of clean water EXTRA Paper towels and old cloth.
