Class Experience

1. Introductions: I will introduce myself, and then have students answer a fun ice breaker question. Example: If you could be any ocean animal, what would you be?
2. Go over classroom rules: Be respectful to everyone. Raise our hand if we have a question or want to share something. Not to interrupt other students if they are speaking.
3. Students will then learn interesting facts about a variety of sharks such as their habitat, predator and prey relationships, and body parts. This will be done through PowerPoint and short videos. Students will be encouraged to share experiences, facts, and participate in discussion.
4. Students will then draw their own favorite shark or make up their own!

Learning Goals

Students will learn about different kinds of sharks and the environment they live in. They will also practice listening, speaking, and fine motor skills.

l love working with children because they are full of surprises. I have over 10 years experience working with kids ages 4-17. I am a certified Family Life Educator and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, minor in Psychology. I have taught children one-on-one and in small and large group settings.

I believe learning should always be fun! My goal is for students to enjoy what they are learning. I want students to be comfortable coming to class and asking questions. I can't wait to see you in the classroom!
