In this one-time class students will learn how to read and understand the nutrition label. We will go over serving size, calories, nutrients, and % daily value. We will discuss the various “alternative” food labels that may be found on packaged food items. Students will learn what the various labels on packages mean including organic, gmo, whole grain, and more. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
