Class Experience
US Grade 7 - 11
Students will have access to one-on-one tutoring with an experienced High School Geometry Teacher via the online platform. During this session students may bring work from class, or lessons can be provided for acceleration or remediation. Students wishing for acceleration or remediation will be provided engaging lessons to help solidify their understanding of Geometric concepts. We will work through examples together and the once the learner feels comfortable with the material a check for understanding will be provided to show growth in knowledge of the topic area that we have worked on. I am flexible with scheduling, so if a listed time does not work for you please let me know and we can get a time that works for you!

Hello all, my name is David and I've been teaching math at the high school level for ten years now. I believe in engaging students and differentiating instruction to find the best way a student will learn the material.
I have taught Geometry for the past nine years, but have also taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Precalc/Trigonometry. I thoroughly enjoy watching a student grow in confidence and skill when it comes to their ability in mathematics.
I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Technology, so I am very adept at apps and websites students are using such as MathXL, MyMathLab, GoogleClassroom, etc. I look forward to helping your child succeed in their math class and hearing from you!
Students learn math best by practice. I think it is most beneficial to the student to work through a guided example with me, then practice one on their own with walking step by step verbally, then finally have them do some problems completely on their own. However, I believe that every student learns differently, so differentiated instruction to fit the students needs is key.
