Throughout the course, students will progress from learning fundamental chess tactics like forks, pins, and discovered attacks to mastering more advanced strategies such as double attacks, deflection, and zugzwang. As they advance, they will dive into complex techniques like sacrifice combinations, zwischenzug, and deep calculation, culminating in elite-level skills such as smothered mates, decoy sacrifices, and multi-move tactical planning. By the end of the course, students will have developed the ability to spot and execute powerful tactical patterns, think several moves ahead, and apply these strategies in real-game scenarios, greatly enhancing their overall chess skills.

Lesson 2:
Beginner/Intermediate Tactics
In this intermediate class, we'll dive deeper into chess tactics and strategies, focusing on advanced concepts like double attacks, deflection, and zugzwang. You'll learn how to recognize complex patterns, improve piece coordination, and sharpen your overall decision-making to outmaneuver your opponents. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Advanced Tactics and Combinations
In this advanced class, we’ll master high-level chess tactics like sacrifice combinations, zwischenzug, and the concept of overloading. You’ll learn how to create complex, multi-move combinations that will leave your opponent no way to escape, giving you the upper hand in critical positions. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
True Tactic Mastery
In our final class, we’ll push your skills to the highest level by exploring intricate tactical themes like smothered mates, the decoy sacrifice, and deep calculation sequences. Hi! My name is Joseph Bensimon, a chess coach of over 5 years with a strong passion for the game. In our class, I create an atmosphere for kids of all levels to be able to analyze and play, strategize, and have FUN! My vision/mission is to provide students with abilities to improve their daily lives through their enjoyment of chess. I am rated 2000 by USCF and chess.com, and currently studying Finance and Accounting at Yeshiva University. I enjoy working with children since it allows me to be a giver, and giving to others is what makes me the happiest! I can't wait to have fun learning with everyone!
