Students will learn how to draw a self-portrait with a fun under the sea twist! Through step by step instruction, students will draw a picture of themselves with snorkeling gear and under water creatures. This is a fun for young artists to explore facial features with their love of the water and animals! Students may need additional time to finish coloring their drawings. This is okay as I welcome students to work at a comfortable pace and the focus of the class is drawing skills! No prior experience necessary! Note: coloring may need to be completed after class depending on the student’s pace which will vary depending on the learners in the class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to draw a self portrait with special attention to facial features.
Students will create an exciting under the sea background.

*Paper or sketchbook *Pencils (extra is helpful if your tip breaks!) *Eraser *Black marker or sharpie *Crayons or markers to color in if time allows! Coloring may need to be completed outside of class depending on the student’s needs

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
