This is a great class for students who are just being introduced to fractions for the very first time. In this one time class, we will take fractions from the beginning. We will discuss the definition of a fraction and make a connection to how a fraction represents an amount of something. By looking at groups of sea animals, students will create fractions that represent their amount. Eventually, we will move on to representing fractions using bar models.
