Homework
1 hour per week. Homework: Each week homework will be provided and is an important part of the success of the class. This will be explained verbally to the students in the week's video and posted on Outschool in the classroom so that everyone knows what work should be completed. Students are expected to complete the homework and their characters will benefit from their efforts.

Class Experience

Druidawn® is an cooperative, interactive role playing game that uses creative writing and problem solving to overcome obstacles in a group setting. The student must complete the Beginner class prior to any Druidawn® adventures BUT it's always helpful to take Special Topic classes to learn more about the world of Druidawn®! Take this flex series before the Beginner class to help you choose your character's race, or anytime after you've chosen your character's race in order to know more about your character and others you will travel with through Druidawn® adventures!

Elves, Elementals, Shape Shifters, Wizards and Dragon. Learn about these Special Topics in a Self-Paced setting.
Each week you will delve deep into one aspect of the Druidawn world.

Watch the video covering the topic of the week. Each video is 15-25 minutes long and includes a PowerPoint presentation that students can scroll back through to review the information at their leisure.
Then submit any questions about the subject that you still have especially as it relates to your character.

Students that turn in the weekly homework will gain a reward for their Druidawn® character (or pets) that will benefit you in the adventures.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I first experienced Druidawn® as a participant alongside my son. We quickly became enamored with the adventures and with leveling up our beloved characters. Soon I was having fun teaching Druidawn® myself, leading classes through mythical and magical lands. I have been been using Druidawn® to encourage students to write for many years. Words are currency in Druidawn®. Kids don't HAVE to write, they will WANT to write!
