Ukulele Time Summer Camp (Flex): Older Beginners

In this 6 week ukulele course, learners will learn the basics of tuning a ukulele, how to read chords, and learn how to play 4 basic chords on the ukulele.

Class Experience

Bachelors of Music Education K-12
Week 1: 
- Video of saying the strings of the ukulele in order and playing each string to show it is tuned correctly. 
-  Posting of silly saying 

Week 2: 
- Video of chord C

Week 3 
- Video of chord F 
- Video of chord Am 

Week 4 
- Video of moving between chords at learners speed  
- Video of moving between chords in a song  

Week 5 
- Video of G7 
- Video of moving between chords 

Week 6 
- Video of what you have learned 
- Video of moving between chords in a song 
A working soprano ukulele 
A tuner (actual tuner or smart device tuning app)
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Some students may need help with tuning strings to the correct pitch. If a learner does not have a tuner or a smart device, they may need access to a smart device. Students will need access to a tuner or smart device for any free tuning app.
