*Contact me for schedule requests* Students should have experience with playing chords and know some strumming patterns to get the most out of the camp. If you are unsure, message me and we can discuss if this is the right fit for your child. The lessons begin with warmups for the left hand and the right hand. Students will be taken through drilling exercises where they practice changing from one chord to another. Students will learn the strumming and rhythmic patterns for the songs. Students will jam along with the teacher to practice 'feeling the groove' and playing in time. Students will learn the arrangement of the song. By the end of the week, students will have all the tools to be able to play three full songs. I will provide all the learning materials during the class. After each class, I will share the slides and supplementary recordings which students can use to continue practicing on their own. *Please note that most students will need more than one week of practice to play the songs perfectly. This class gives them all the practice points to be able to achieve that goal. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, I'm Siobhan! A versatile and passionate human interested in continuing to learn and grow throughout life's journey. I spent nine years living in Thailand working as a professional musician and private music teacher. For five of those years, I ran my own business, a music school, where I gained valuable experience and a versatile skill set. Just before the pandemic, I was traveling and developing new skills including cooking gourmet vegetarian food, managing a kitchen, managing social media pages, video editing as well as completing my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course. During the pandemic, I began creating music classes that are specifically designed to be delivered online. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, travel, and practicing music.
