Welcome to your new adventure as a Ukulele Player! In this class, learners will get to know their instrument. In the first lesson, we will get to know the parts of the Ukulele and how to use it to create music. We will learn the names of the open strings and how to tune them properly. Learners will also come to understand how we use the music staff to decode music melodies. We will also play fun games to help our learning. Upon completion of this class, Learners will be able to read the notes of the C major scales on the Treble Clef Staff and play them on the Ukulele.
In addition to our class sessions, learners will be more successful if they can commit to at least 15 minutes of practice five days per week.
Soprano, Concert or Tenor sized Ukulele Clip-on electronic tuner ($7 - $15 but WELL worth it!)
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
